Design in a Box

by Anna on June 19, 2012

Recently a friend was telling me about an interesting concept called “design in a box.” This is where an Interior Designer would sell their services online as a packaged or “boxed” design concept. I’m not certain on the details but I would assume that there would be some back and forth communication between designer and customer which would direct the designer to create a room or “box” that the customer would fancy.

I thought it would be fun to try my hand at this type of design. Here is my “design in a box” which I have created for a laid back, nature loving, travel going, young couple. Enjoy!

Anthropologie Jacinto Pillow $118, West Elm Finn chandelier $199, Paint colors by Serena & Lily in Punch and Dune, Serena & Lily Senegalese storage baskets set of 3 $290, Groundwork feather print $20, Viesso Strata loveseat $2,039, West elm gradiated stripe rug $99, Classicon Bell table (call for pricing).

UpCycled and Fabulous.

by Anna on May 24, 2011

I am always so impressed with all the talent found on the website esty.com Check out this shop called Mudpuppy that features alien-like plants that actually grow upside-down. Amazing!

Re-Purposed Tupperware? How cool! These would definitely make a whimsical statement in a kitchen or even hanging above tables in a fun little restaraunt. Check out GusNboots shop.

Lastly, take a look at this assortment of Upcycled wall decor.

Bottom left is artwork that is made from reused book pages by PRRINT. Bootom right is a set of hooks made from old spoons…Isn’t that great!?… by jjevensen.
